Kathy Boyd Fellure - Novelist and Children's Author
My blogs offer a taste of my non-fiction/memoir writing.

Some of my favorite subjects to pen are ~ prayer, the homeless, childhood, family life, American history, local history, Lake Tahoe, grand parenting, growing up a baby-boomer, our soldiers, England, why I love books in print, traveling, the "Misadventures of Missy & Jacob", music, art (my two illustrators in particular), and why hula hoops help keep you young.
My best friend Anne Ruff and I were co-editors of the school newspaper ~ The Loom.
I wrote my editorial on the Viet Nam War and how it influenced my decision to write.

Books I love to read and share

After I come home from a writer's conference I bring stacks of books home like the ones in the picture on the left. This was part of my haul from the 2013 Mount Hermon CBA Conference.
1) Historical romance by Sarah Sundin, an indulgence for me and my daughter.
2) Sherry Kyle's, Delivered with Love, for my granddaughter.
3) Louise Carey's book about how she kept her sanity and humor as an Alzheimer's caregiver.
4) Suzy Flory's, So Long Status Quo ~ What I Learned from Women who Changed the World, for me to share with my girlfriends.
5) Kay Marshall Strom's ~ Seeking Christ, a birthday gift for my Bible study and prayer partner Debbie.

On the right ~ A sampling of classics I relish to curl up and enjoy with a cup of tea on a wintery evening or sit out on my patio in the spring and summer months with a long, tall glass of tart lemonade. 18th century poetry and prose...sigh.

                  Bookies Book Club
Once a month I travel to my hometown for book club! I wait with great expectation for this marvelous evening now held at Chez Sylvia. About five years ago another writer friend invited me into her world of avid book reading friends. I was immediately at home at when I first joined them at the Murray House. We have since relocated, but it is the same band of bookie enthusiasts that gather to dig deep into the meaning of adventurous ~ words.
